About
Denise DeLaunay-Wood is a Scottish-American photographer who moves between observational documentary-style photography and her studio practice. Her work explores themes of ageing, home and loss. She often finds beauty in the imperfection and hopes people go beyond their senses when viewing her work. Her ambition is always to create images which evoke emotive responses.
She divides her time and works in both Scotland and the USA.
She studied photography (Center for Creative Studies, Detroit, 1989), HND Photography Northeast College Aberdeen, BA Commercial Photography Distinction, (BA (Hons) Contemporary Art Practice (Photography) at Robert Gordon University Gray’s School of Art, 2022).
