Contact The Elderly Tea Party
Contact The Elderly is a national charity dedicated to tackling the issue of loneliness in elderly people. It is supported by a network of volunteer’s who either drive guests to or host small groups on Sunday afternoon’s for tea parties where guests 75 and over enjoy a cuppa and a ‘fine piece’. The focus is on elderly people who live alone where the charity provides a vital friendship link every month.
‘Our tea parties are a real lifeline of friendship for our older guests who have little or no contact with family or friends. They bring people of all ages together, develop fulfilling friendships and support networks, and give everyone involved something to look forward to each month.’
