It all started when…
I was born in Detroit Michigan, raised in the suburbs, studied photography at Centre For Creative Studies College of Art and Design in Detroit in the mid 1980's where tri x 400 was my film of choice and spending all night printing in the darkroom was my idea of a great night out.
I worked as a freelance photographer’s assistant in the automotive industry in Detroit and put my photography career on hold when I purchased my retiring Aunt’s new and used bookstore, where I eventually, met my Scottish husband. Photography remained my creative outlet all my adult life.
I finished my studies in Scotland and earned my BA in Commercial Photography (Distinction) and continue my life long love affair with of the photographic medium. The click of my shutter creates legacies in each family or an individual's life, this is something I cannot put a value on but something I cherish the most.
Photography is not only a gift that has been given to me it's also one that I can give back as a gift to those I photograph.
